D23 Gold Members are invited to an exclusive evening at the D23 Gold Theater, celebrating 70 years of Disneyland with Disney Legend Don Hahn and former Imagineer Christopher Merritt.
This event will also provide a special preview of the upcoming book, The Happiest Place on Earth: The Incredible Story of Walt Disney’s Disneyland, co-authored by Don Hahn and Christopher Merritt. The book, set for release on July 15, 2025, is among the D23 Gold Member premium item offerings for the year.
Don and Christopher will take attendees on a journey through the creation and early years of Disneyland Park. They will share rarely seen photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes stories that highlight the park’s history and evolution.

BP28 was a former Cast Member for Disney, many years ago, who now enjoys vlogging at Disneyland and covering the history, rides and attractions that Walt Disney created. In addition, he enjoys covering Knott’s Berry Farm, SeaWorld, and other theme parks and local attractions. Berry Place 28 was named after the “Berry Place” market that Walter and Cordelia Knott opened in 1928 and after Mickey Mouse which was created in 1928.
