On a beautiful, early So Cal morning, thousands arrived at the Disneyland Resort to take part in the CHOC Walk in the Park and the Park Streamers team was ready!
Joining the CHOC Walk for the first time as a team, the Park Streamers raised a whopping $13,796 (and counting…you can still donate until August 21)! Led by Koda Bear the Explorer, who raised more than $5,000, the team made a splash in the CHOC community.
Not only was the lead up to the Walk on July 21 a fun and exciting experience, the day of the Walk was nothing short of amazing!
Meeting before dawn was a challenge for a few of our “more nocturnal” teammates, but all were in place before 6:00am for the kick off on Main Street. Joining in the fun this year was co-captains Theme Park Casual, Berry Place 28 & Cordy in California and teammates Living Dead Fam, Jens Crochet (DonnieLand), Koda Bear the Explorer, Wink’s Wild Ride, Slimdevin’s Adventures, C L and George and Lynn Ray.

With confetti cannons and some Disney characters, the Walk stepped off and walkers were on their way, winding through Disneyland and California Adventure. Traversing both parks, including some backstage areas, walkers were treated to interactions with plenty of Disney stars. Indiana Jones, Captain Jack Sparrow, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Mike Wazowski were cheering attendees on along with the Big Cheese himself, Mickey Mouse!
The mood was high energy and full of fun and love. Occasionally, the cause brought tears to our eyes, as we were invited by CHOC to walk in honor of the families who’s kiddos lost their battle. One of our teammates revealed that her little boy, Silas Riley Bebow, fought bravely at CHOC, but ultimately became their guardian angel. A sober reminder of why we joined this event: to hopefully one day make it so every kiddo that arrives at CHOC gets to go home with their family!
Thank you to everyone
who donated and supported us!
As a team, the Park Streamers had such an amazing morning that as soon as we finished the Walk, we were all ready to start fundraising for next year! So, make sure to follow all the Park Streamers as we will be gearing up for an even more successful 2025 CHOC Walk campaign!
We want to give a gigantic “Thank you!” to all of the people who donated, supported and shared out our links. This was only possible because of your tremendous generosity. Our hearts were full that morning and we will carry that into next year!
